William Dembski is a goddamn dumbass. That was really breathtaking stupidity, even from him. Copying the video and tweaking it slightly doesn't make copyright infringement go away, since the copyright holders can still prove that the animation is substantially derived from their work.

I doubt Dembski would sit still for someone who basically paraphrased one of his works with acknowledgment, so why does he think the producers of Expelled can get away with it, and worse why does he think they're being clever when they try to do so?

Oh well. Anyway, you've been listed as a promoter of the film.

I have it automated to send pings and trackbacks to those whose posts I link to. If you don't want it there, you can always delete it.

<i>"I do have a question: why did you use the phrase “legions of closet creationists in academia”?"</i>

Because that's the whole premise of the film you're defending. That there are a bunch of closet creationists cowering in fear of an all-pervasive Darwinian orthodoxy.

Yes, I honored your trackback, which is probably more than any in the PT-mafia will do for my trackbackss.

I do have a question: why did you use the phrase "legions of closet creationists in academia"?

Meanwhile, why don't you leave a comment on my blog before the trackback request?
